Hair follicle growth factor proteins

This patent is useful for induction of hair growth through use of hair follicle growth factor (HFGF) proteins. Essentially, the HFGF proteins described in the application appear to be allelic variants of keratinocyte growth factor-2 (also known as FGF-10). There are both composition of matter, use, and delivery claims issued. One of the authors of the patent published a paper describing keratinocyte growth factor-2 effects on hair growth (Jang JH. et al. Stimulation of human hair growth by the recombinant human keratinocyte growth factor-2 (KGF-2). Biotechnol Lett. 2005 Jun;27(11):749-52.), however a pubmed search of "HFGF" and "hair follicle growth factor" revealed nothing on Sept 29, 2006.
