As more and more becomes known regarding stem cell extraction, differentiation, and manipulation, the value of scaffolding and delivery technologies will increase. The current patent addresses a new way of inserting stem cells into a host through the use of scaffolds derived from bacterial biofilm. Essentially the patent covers various polysaccharide biofilms for generation of structures that can be implanted into a host, with said structures being vascularized in some embodiments of the invention.
