This patent covers the expansion of hematopoietic stem cells, both in vitro and in vivo with fibroblast growth factors. This patent is important not only for stimulation of post-ablation hematopoiesis, but can also be used to cover angiogenesis stimulation by fibroblast growth factors since angiogenesis involves hematopoietic stem cells, at least in some embodiments.
