This patent teaches methods of culturing and expanding cells, including stem cells, through a unique culture system that uses hollow fiber technology. Since tissue culture is usually performed under static conditions and very derived from the in vivo situation, numerous failures to expand stem cells can be explained. The culture system of this invention seeks to provide a more in vivo like environment.
