This patent covers methods of preserving neural stem cells and various types of neuronal cells so that they may be transported for use in treatment of neurological disorders. One of the drawbacks of such cell therapy is the issue of rejection by the allogeneic immune system, this has been addressed in studies using encapsulation, or using stereotactic implantation into the brain, since the brain is allegendly immunotolerant.
