This patent covers methods of generating stem cells, embryonic stem cells from ungulate species. This technology may be useful not only for veterinary applications, but also for generating large quantities of cytoplasm with "dedifferentiating" ability that may be used for various regenerative purposes in humans...many of the cytoplasmic factors in embryonic stem cells that induce dedifferentiation act across species.
